Uttoxeter Skatepark Mural

Uttoxeter Skatepark Mural

Live & Local, a not-for-profit arts organization supporting creative communities across the Midlands, commissioned me for my largest mural project to date: a complete transformation of the skatepark in Bramshall Park, Uttoxeter. This project, titled Chromatic Pathways, was inspired by the local youth who frequent the park. We asked them directly what they’d love to see, ensuring the design resonated with their vision and revitalized their space.

The mural celebrates the joy of movement and color, featuring dynamic abstract shapes and patterns that flow throughout the skatepark. The aim was to create a vibrant, impactful piece that radiates fun and inclusivity—something everyone, regardless of age or background, could connect with.

As a community project, collaboration was key. I led spray-painting workshops for the youth, providing stencils to help them experiment and contribute their own artwork, seamlessly integrating their creations into the mural's overall design.

This project holds a special place in my heart. Growing up in Uttoxeter, I spent countless hours in this very park, making it incredibly meaningful to leave my mark on a space that shaped my own childhood. The response from the community was overwhelming, and seeing the joy it brought to the locals was the ultimate reward.
